GRAMPIANS ATTRACTIONS

The Kookaburra Motor Lodge’s great central position makes for an easy walk to local Halls Gap  and Grampians attractions, cafés, restaurants, and an ideal base for exploring local wineries, galleries and the Grampians National Park.

Located on Fyans Creek Halls Gap lies in a valley between the ancient Wonderland and Mount William Ranges with their craggy towering ramparts, canyons and lookouts. A network of roads lead to scenic drives and there is a wealth of walking trails both around the town and in the area. Lakes Bellfield, Londsdale and Fyans are all within a short drive, providing opportunities for canoeing, birdwatching and fishing.

Halls Gap Zoo, Grampians Adventure Golf and Brambuk – The National Park and Cultural Centre are a must-see while in the area. Indigenous culture is of special significance and Gariwerd (the traditional name for the area) contains south-eastern Australia’s highest concentration of aboriginal rock art.
